These are dolls I've worked on with an eye to replacing or restoring their hair to something close to the original. Composition dolls get human or mohair wigs, early hard plastic can have mohair or synthetic, Cissy should have synthetic but human hair goes into the styles more easily.

When I do a wig, it's best to have the doll here but when that's not possible, I can usually get a doll with the same size and shape head if not one of the exact doll. I wash or wet down the wig, glue it to my doll, set it, style it, and when it's perfect, I put a hairnet on it and lift it off my doll. This way, the wig is actually molded into the shape of the head it's intended to fit. You don't have to do any pulling, stretching or even arranging. Just a few drops of the glue that I'll include with the wig, and place it on the head.

The price is $25 plus the price of the wig for a replacement; $35 to restore the set on a doll's original wig.
